I like the US flag painting because I plan to join the army when I grow up. I love the United States. I also like the 3D appearance of the painting, which she taught me was done with shadowing.

A Penny's Point of View

I was first created in a bank. Then I was taken out of safe deposit box and taken to Wal-Mart to buy paper. I was dropped into the cash register for five days...long, boring days. Then I was used to make change for a man buying a Nerf long-shot dart gun. I am now in his pocket next to a twenty dollar bill who keeps snickering at me like as if it is so much more important than me. Just because I am a single cent and he is 2,000 cents doesn't mean I am not as important.

The night passed and I was given to the man's son so he could go to the IGA and buy some bubble gum. I was again dropped into the cash register's drawer and laid untouched for another ten days. Then I was given to a five-year-old little boy who just bought a bag of cotton candy. He carried me down the street in his sweaty, sticky palm until he dropped me and I rolled into the gutter. Ker-plunk! Splash!

After swimming through pipes and drains and splashing for hours, I am now sitting at the bottom of a creek watching as the kids dip their toes into the water. A ten-year-old boy keeps walking in deeper and deeper, searching for gold and I hope he will find me. I am working hard to rub my copper-self on rocks so that if the sun catches me just right, my copper will shine enough to catch his eye. Then I can go home in his shoe and be his lucky penny.

Max and Mary were very poor. When one day they only had one piece of bread but in steed of eating it Mary saw some little birds that were so hungry. She went out and gave the little birds the bread but she didn't know that some angels were watching her. They filled the kichen with bread and apple juice and filled the closet with nice clothing. When Max and Mary got up and saw the nice clothing they danced for joy, then Max and Mary looked out the window and they saw the angels.
